Time on my hands?

Time on my hands?

Many people have asked me what I have been doing with all the extra time now that radiation is over.  For starters, I have been able to sweep my floors more regularly.  Shua has started sitting at the table with the girls and boy does he make a mess.  I have partially cleaned my burners. I still have two more to do.  I will put that on tomorrow’s agenda.  I was always so grossed out looking at them but didn’t have the time to clean them.  I do a load or two of laundry during the week so I don’t have to do a gazillion loads on Sunday.  I have graded papers on the playroom floor while Shua trashes the place.  Ruthie, Elisheva and I have played with paper dolls.  Of course my part in the activity was to sit and punch out all the pieces.  Nevertheless, it was really nice to spend time with the girls.

Had to include this picture.  He saw his sisters wearing the hat and had to be a part of it. He put it on himself when we got home today.  It was set for a bigger head so it kept falling over his eyes.

And for the record…..I have used my treadmill for the first time since surgery.  It has been over three months and it felt good.  I was getting “itchy legs.”  Of course I know that I am not going to run, but still getting a walk in was nice.  The hardest part was getting changed into exercise clothes and getting down to the basement.  I did two miles and was proud of my effort.  The blog was delayed so that I could write about the treadmill.  I didn’t want to just say that I was going to start using the dreadful machine but I wanted to actually say that I did it.
So here is to three months cancer free!
